Photos of Kambiz Dirbaz in ‘The Sniper’ released

The first pictures of Iranian star Kambiz Dirbaz in his new movie project ‘The Sniper’ have been released.

In the movie directed by Ali Ghaffari, Dirbaz stars as the main character, the real-life hero, martyr Abdulrasul Zarrin.

Martyr Zarrin was known as the cleverest sniper in modern wars and during Iraq’s imposed war on Iran.

The film has begun shooting after three months of preparations with the production team seeking to submit it to the 39th Fajr International Film Festival in Iran.

Previously dubbed as ‘Hunting of the Hunter’, the movie is about Zarrin, who was known for his pinpoint accuracy. He has inflicted heavy casualties on the Iraqi forces during an imposed war waged by Iraq’s former dictator Saddam Hussein and supported by some Western and regional states.

Zarrin was martyred during Kheibar Operation in 1984.

The 1980-88 war is commemorated in Iran every year as the eight years of Sacred Defense.
